ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Candidate must have either 2-20 or 4-40 insurance license or complete the license within a 90 days of their start date. No prior Insurance experience is required, just a desire to learn the industry. Candidate must be comfortable navigating the web, data entry, and following agency procedures.

Expectations: – Provide Outstanding Service, identify and secure new customers through various agency initiatives, and work together as a team. Offices are open M-F 8-5.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a customer advocate – to our carriers we represent.

  • Provide service to existing customers on a daily basis with tasks to include but not limited to:

    • taking payments

    • reviewing insurance coverage

    • making recommendations of coverage

    • educating customers on their policies

    • educate and provide quotes for other lines of business as they pertain

    • filing a claim

    • provide a customer care review of their coverage in place

    • generate insurance documents (i.e. evidence of insurance, id cards, proof of insurance)

    • provide comparative quotes and move business to other carriers when in the best interests of the customer

    • ask for referrals

  • Work with Prospective clients – gather personal information to be used for generating insurance quotes for various lines of business, building trust and relationships, educate and provide insurance options for their review. Work with various referral sources in securing referrals (agency directed).

  • Work within the guidelines and direction of the agency – Take care of the customer and the carrier(s) we represent.

  • Work with carrier personnel in seeking coverage for a customer – answering carrier questions as it pertains to the customer’s risk.

Work as part of a team – coordinating efforts and supporting one another in the best interests of the customer, our agency, and our carriers we represent.
